Big Stone Gap, Va.-Dennis Ray Blagg, Sr., 80, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at Lee Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pennington Gap, Va.
He was born in West Virginia and lived in Big Stone Gap for many years. He was retired from the Clinchfield Coal Co. and a member of the U. M. W. A. Dennis could be seen often at Bullitt Park in Big Stone Gap, where he fed the squirrels and visited with those passing by.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ivan Blagg and Martha (King) Blagg; four brothers and four sisters.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Lynn (Brady) Blagg; children, Dennis Blagg, Jr. (Darlene), Dana Jackson and Chad Blagg, all of Big Stone Gap; grandchildren, Ryan Blagg, Nathan Blagg, Megan Blagg and Isabella Blagg; siblings, Carl Blagg, Danese, WV, Kendall Lane, Winston-Salem, NC, Kay Hunter and Connie Garten, Danese, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Avenue, W., Big Stone Gap.
