Wise, Va.-Betty Barnette, 59, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022, at Norton Community Hospital.
Born in Maryland, she also lived in Illinois and Michigan. She was a waitress, cook and cashier in the restaurant industry. Betty was a Christian. She had been a resident at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Wise, Va. since 2018, where she considered the staff and other residents as her family. She loved to eat and indulge in snacks.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Barnette.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Friday, September 16, 2022, at Glencoe Cemetery in Big Stone Gap with Cotton Gardner officiating.
