Dryden, Va.-Bobby Eugene Waddell, 83, of the Olinger Community of Dryden, Va., passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
He was a lifelong resident of Lee County, and a member of the Deep Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Bobby was a retired coal miner. He loved his church and his family.
Bobby is preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Waddell; his daughter, Sharon Waddell; his father, Millard Waddell; mother, Mae Waddell; four brothers, Johnny Waddell, James Waddell and Randall Waddell of Olinger and Everette Waddell of Dryden, Va.; three sisters, Pauline Waddell of Olinger, Ruth McKinney of Big Stone Gap and Thelma Williams of Dryden.
Bobby was survived by two sons, Eugene Waddell, Dryden, and Dan Waddell, Big Stone Gap, Va.; four daughters, Anna Maness of Dryden, Lisa Clark, Jonesville, Va., Jackie Howard, Elverta, Ca., and Agnes Kleineick, Kingsport, Tn.; one sister, Mildred McKinney, Duffield, Va.; one brother, Charles Waddell, Olinger; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00pm on Friday, May, 28, 2021 at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, Va. with Pastor Bruce Brewer officiating. The family and friends will assemble at the cemetery by 1:50pm on Friday.
