Big Stone Gap, Va.-Brandon James Bentley, 26, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021 at his home.
Brandon was a lifelong resident of Big Stone Gap and a 2012 graduate of Union/Powell Valley High School. He worked as a carpenter for Holdway Construction. Brandon loved to hunt and fish, especially loved taking his son on fishing outings.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bill Arwood.
Brandon is survived by his son, Waylon James Bentley; his parents, Greg and Kelly Bentley; his brother, Casey Bentley (Crissana Gibson), Big Stone Gap; his paternal grandparents, Buford and Sandra Bentley; nephew, Camden Bentley; and nieces, Emmalyn Summers and Isabella Summers. His maternal grandmother, Deanna Arwood, Big Stone Gap and the mother of of his child, Kassie Stacey of Big Stone Gap.
Services are private at this time, but the family will announce a memorial service in the Spring of 2021, closer to Brandon’s birthday.
