Bryce Alexander Walker

Big Stone Gap, Va.- Bryce Alexander Walker, 26, passed away January 12, 2026.
He was a lifelong Big Stone Gap and a 2017 graduate of Union High School, where he was in the marching Bears and played football his senior year. He served as a corrections officer at Wallens Ridge State Prison. Bryce loved riding his electric bike, gun collecting and was a shoe collector. He was a loving father, son, grandson, brother, and uncle. He attended First Christian Church of Appalachia, VA.
He was preceded in death by his uncle, Stephen Walker and his maternal grandparents, Larry and Wanda Adams.
Bryce is survived by his daughter, Josiah Ivy-Mae Walker of Big Stone Gap, VA; his father, B.K. Walker, III (Mary) of Glade Springs, VA; his mother, Melanie Adams (Jeff Counts) of Big Stone Gap, VA; his siblings, Preston Walker (Diedra) of Johnson City, TN, Hailey Walker (fiancé, Dominic Clark) of Roanoke, VA and Brooklyn Walker of Big Stone Gap, VA; his paternal grandparents, B.K. and Layne (Maness) Walker, Jr. of Big Stone Gap, VA; aunts, Misty Mullins and Kim Adams; nephew, Cayden Walker; step-brothers, Ethan Bordwine and Brendon Bordwine, and a host of friends. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters of Wallens Ridge.
The family will receive friends on January 16, 2026 from 11:00am to 2:00pm at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave. W., Big Stone Gap, VA. The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm with Pastor Garrett Lee ministering.
The graveside service will follow at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. A presentation will be provided by the Wallens Ridge Correctional Officers’ Honor Team.
