Pennington Gap, Va.-Carolyn Jane Gilliam, 79, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Lee Health and Rehab in Pennington Gap, Va.
Jane was a retired LPN with Heritage Hall in Big Stone Gap, with more than 30 years of service. She devoted her life to taking care of her patients and their families. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles R. and Elizabeth Lora (Eagle) Stapleton.
Surviving are her husband, Bud Gilliam, Big Stone Gap; daughter, Melissa Collins, Suffolk, Va.; grandchildren, Ty Collins, Camden Collins, Brenten Collins; brother, Richard Stapleton, Jonesville, Va.; and nephews, Trey Stapleton and Nicholas Stapleton.
A graveside service will be conducted 1:00pm on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at the Woodward Cemetery, Jonesville, Va. with pastor Steve Neff officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm on Saturday. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
