Big Stone Gap, Va.-Carolyn Julia Withers, 79, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Big Stone Gap, Va.
She was a lifelong resident of Big Stone Gap. Carolyn was a head start teacher with the Wise County Head Start Program, now Kid’s Central, with over 40 years of service. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Big Stone Gap.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Euliss and Kate (Viveth) Houston; and brothers, Euliss and William Houston.
Surviving are her son, Robert Withers (Cheryl), Goose Creek, S. Car.; three grandchildren, Robert Withers, IV, Kierra Hampton and Kendrick Hampton; several nieces and nephews; special sister-in-law, Diane Houston; and special friend, Alberta Mitchell.
