Big Stone Gap, Va.-Cecil R. Barker, 69, passed away on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tn.
A lifelong resident of Big Stone Gap, Cecil worked with Paramont Coal Company and Westmoreland Coal Co.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynette Barker; son, Nathaniel Barker; parents, Scott and Irene Barker; and sister, Wanda Collier.
Surviving are his son, Jesse Barker, Big Stone Gap; and special friends, Tracy Owens and Audra Harvey.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at the Benjamin Bolling Family Cemetery, Sulpher Springs Road, Pound, Va.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gilliam Funeral Home, P. O. Box 886, Big Stone Gap, Va. 24219, to assist the family with final arrangements.
