Big Stone Gap, Va.-Clayton Powell “Jack” Cawood, Jr. 91, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2023.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marcella Katherine “Honey Babe” Cawood.
He is survived by his daughter, Pamela and husband Michael Ashbrook; brother, Greg (Sharman) Cawood; sister, Gail Wolfe; sisters-in-law, Tommie (Richard) Weatherly and Jane Williams. Also surviving are honorary daughter, Page Russell; nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces and great-great nieces and friends too many to mention.
The graveside service for Jack and Marcella will be Saturday April 1, 2023 at 11:00 at Legion Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at Gilliam Funeral Home by 10:30am to go in procession to the cemetery.
Military rites by the U. S. Navy Honors Team and local V.F.W. and D.A.V. members.
