With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Constance Alesia Miller, who left this world on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the age of 62 .
Constance “Connie” Alesia Miller was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert “Sonny” Miller; her parents, Ralph “Tar Baby” Humbert and Nancy Fannon Humbert; and her brother, Robert “Tar Jr.” Humbert.
She is survived by her loving sisters and brothers, Debra and Sammy Zirkle, and Michelle and Eric Clark.
Connie is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews: Shane Humbert (Janie), Robbie Humbert (Amber), Christina “Sissy” Goodwin (Kelly), Todd Zirkle (Nikki), Brook Justus (Tommy), Cody Zirkle (Katie), and Tyler Clark (Fran).
She leaves behind her beloved great-nieces and great-nephews: Patrick, Timothy, Kira, and Mahala Humbert; DaKoda (Matthew) Poole; Kaitlyn Goodwin; Braxton, Haley, and Camden Zirkle; Brady and Savannah Justus; Aria and Jayde Zirkle; and Isla and Marianna Clark.
She also leaves behind close friends Mary Jane and Stoker Mitchell. A special sister-in-law Sherry Trinkle.
Family was the most important part of Connie’s life. She shared a special and unique bond with each of her nieces and nephews, as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews, who lovingly knew her as “Con-Con” and “Non-Non.” Her love, warmth, and devotion to family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
The honorary pallbearers are Todd Zirkle, Tommy Justus, Cody Zirkle , Tyler Clark, Braxton and Camden Zirkle, and Brady Justus.
With many thanks to Dr. Thomas E Renfro who has been her doctor for over 26 years.
The family will receive friends and family on Friday, April 3 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Gilliam Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap, VA and the Memorial Service will follow at 7:00pm.
The inurnment will be private.
