Coeburn, Va.-Douglas Henry Hayes, 63, passed away on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Norton Community Hospital.
He lived most of his life in Coeburn, Va., he retired from the Norton Housing Authority and of Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Hayes; parents, Henry and Annie (Johnson) Hayes; and a brother, Donnie Hayes.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sheila Hayes; daughter, Melanie Lane (Shawn), Norton, Va.; grandchildren, Scott Lane, Ethan Hayes and Logan Hayes; two sisters, Christine Salyers and Linda Hayes, both of Coeburn; brother, Darrell Hayes (Brenda), Coeburn; and several nieces and nephews, including two special nieces, Ashley and Erica.
The family will announce a memorial service at a later date.
