Duffield, Va.-Duward Junior Jessee, 82, passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Va.
Duward, “Kelly and/or “Red,” as he was affectionately known, enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He spent much of his time hunting and fishing. He spent many years cutting timber and working in the coal mines.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Jessee and Ethel Horton; daughter, Cleava Marie Jessee; and brother, Issac Alonzo Jessee.
Surviving are his wife of nearly 65 years, Lucy Jessee; daughters, Sheila Calton (Vernon), and Melissa McMurl; grandchildren, Harley Colvin (James), Loren Colvin, and Cecil Colvin (Nicole); great grandchildren, Colten Starnes, Wulfric and Torben Colvin; sister, Helen Swafford; brother, Jerry Daniels; and several nieces and nephews, in-laws and cousins.
Arrangements are private.
