Appalachia, Va.-Ellen Marie Greene, 50, of the Derby community, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022, at Lonesome Pine Hospital.
She was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio and her family moved to Wise County in 1985. She was a private pay nurse and loved serving her clients and their families. She especially loved the family trips to Martin Fork Lake in Kentucky, where she was known for being a “water bug.” She was a member of the First Church of God in Norton, Va.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Taylor.
Surviving are her lifetime partner and husband, Robert “Rob” Greene; daughters, Seaira Slagle and husband, Christian of Camp Lejeune, NC, Autumn Greene, Wise, Va. and Serenity Baird, of the home; grandchildren, Arya and Kana; mother, Barbara Taylor, Norton, Va.; sister, Holly Dickenson and husband, Michael of Big Stone Gap, Va.; several nieces and nephews; and may God children, including Ariel Dotson.
