Estil Ann Houston Caudill

Big Stone Gap, Va.-Estil Ann Houston Caudill, 81, left this life to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
She began her life on October 17, 1941. She was born in Arno, Va. to Henry and Ethel Houston, one of nine children. Ann began her beautiful family when she married William Albert Caudill. Together they had three children. Ann was a loving mother, sister and grandmother. She was a cook for the former Country Boy Drive-In and Mutual Pharmacy. She loved working in her flower garden, cooking and sewing. Her quilts were a work of art. She was of Baptist faith.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, William Albert Caudill; her parents, Henry and Ethel Houston; and sister and brother-in-law, Louise and Johnny Wells.
Surviving are her sons, Danny (Ellen) Caudill and Clayton (Joyce) Caudill, both of Big Stone Gap; daughter, Vickie Caudill (Ron) Harless, Bryson City, NC; brothers, Leo (Sylvia) Houston, Bakersfield, Calif., Monroe Henry (Ann) Houston and Denver (Yong Sik) Houston, both of Big Stone Gap; sisters, Diania Houston, Derby, Va., Angellia Fleenor, Big Stone Gap and Phyllis Houston Adkins, Derby, Va.; grandchildren, Tiffany (Dathan) Davis, Cody (Rachel) Caudill, all of Big Stone Gap, Clay (Danielle) Caudill, Pound, Va., Jessica (Anthony) Giordano of New York, and Kellie (Joshua) Marr, Bryson City, NC; great grandchildren, Easton, Titus, and Mykanna Davis, Mason and Meredith Caudill and Reagan Marr. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins; two step-daughters, Joyce (Tim) Presley, Gambrills, Md. and Rowena Sellitto, Kingsland, Ga.
A graveside service will be held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens with Rev. Roger Barker officiating. Friends will meet the family at the cemetery by 11:20 a.m. on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Dathan Davis, Clay Caudill, Cody Caudill, John Wells, Jr., Joshua Marr, Easton Davis and Titus Davis.
