Big Stone Gap, Va.-Frances Jerline Clasby Denny, 80, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Norton Community Hospital.
She was a caregiver of the elderly for many years. She was a Godly woman and studied her bible daily. She would do anything for anyone who asked. She was of Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Dorothy (Olinger) Clasby; two brothers, Virgil Clasby and Victor Clasby; and one sister, Shirley Raines.
Surviving are her children, Patrick Clasby (Jill), Larry Clasby and Lana Mann (Larry), all of Big Stone Gap; eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren; one sister, Judy Johnson, Wise, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave., W., Big Stone Gap. The service will follow at 1:00pm with Rev. Bruce Brewer officiating.
Burial will follow in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will serve as pallbearers.
