Garland Isaac Bullock, III

Big Stone Gap, Va.-Garland Isaac Bullock, III, 75, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Lakebridge Nursing in Johnson City, Tn.
He was born in Kinston, NC, lived in Melbourne, Fla. for many years and retired to Big Stone Gap. He was a construction superintendent. Garland proudly served his country in the U. S. Marines and was awarded the Purple Heart after being wounded in Vietnam. He was a Christian.
Garland was preceded in death by his parents, Garland Isaac “Bud” Bullock, Jr. and Hilda (Rodgers) Bullock.
He is survived by his son, Brett Bullock (Jillian), Big Stone Gap; daughter, Brandi Woodring, Melbourne, Fla.; grandchildren, Cooper, Tucker, Brittany, Hailee and Tommy; great grandchildren, Brett, Lily, Bennet, Linda, Iris, Violet, Isabelle, Kyle and Brooklyn; siblings, Michiel Bullock (Susie), Melbourne, Fla., Susan Pendergraft (Everette), Durham, NC and Cheryl Knight (George), Melbourne, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm – 7:00pm Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Avenue, W., Big Stone Gap. The service will follow at 7:00pm with Jeff Harvey and Jeff Cochran officiating.
Military graveside rites, by American Legion Posts 3/265 Honor Guard, will be accorded 2:00pm Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Mountain Home National Cemetery, 53 Memorial Avenue, Mountain Home, in Johnson City, Tn. The family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery by 1:45pm.
