Big Stone Gap, Va.-Geneva Bush, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Lonesome Pine Hospital.
She was the last of eleven children, born to William and Oma (Lovell) Grubb. Geneva was devoted to her family and enjoyed working with crafts, when able. She was of Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Carlos Ray Bush, Sr.; and ten siblings.
Surviving are her three children, William Bush (Christy), Carlos Ray Bush, Jr., and Darlene Meade, all of Big Stone Gap; grandchildren, Dustin Meade, Dylan Meade (Emily), Jarred Bush, Brandi Bellamy, Travis Hylton, Jeffrey Hylton, Pam Woodward (Jastin), April Leonard and Rebecca McMahan; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00pm – 8:00pm Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave. W., Big Stone Gap, Va. The service will be conducted 1:30pm Wednesday, September 11, 2024 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Michael Meade officiating.
Burial will follow at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family will serve as pallbearers.
