Appalachia, Va.-Harold Cecil Sargent, 75, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020, at his home.

   He was born in Dizney, KY and lived most of his life in Appalachia, Va.  He served in the U. S. Air Force.  Harold was a coal miner and member of the U. M. W. A. and also worked as a security guard for the mines.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Bernice (Bryant) Sargent; and three brothers.

   He is survived by a nephew, Charles S. Sargent of North Carolina.

   Arrangements are private.
