Coeburn, Va.-Harold Lee Key, 75, formerly of Maryville, Tn. journeyed to Heaven on his birthday May 5, 2020 at his residence in Coeburn, Virginia. 
      He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Everett Key and Gladys Pauline Legg Key of Maryville, Tennessee.
     He is survived by his loving niece and nephew, Chantay and Jeffrey Proulex, and great-niece Grayson Proulex who lived in the home with him and were his caregivers for 9 years.  Also surviving are his brother, Jim (Kay) Key of Big Stone Gap, Va.; niece, Capi (Andrew) Wampler of Asheville, NC; and an aunt, Pat Key of Ellijay, Georgia. 
     An avid reader, Harold retired from Fort Sanders Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee with 45 years of service. A member of Armona Baptist Church in Alcoa, Tn. where he served as Secretary of Sunday Schools and church librarian. He enjoyed reading, eating his sweets, and spoiling the family pets two Scottish terriers, Jacques and Rory, as well as a cat, Ms. Kitty, and her new litter of kittens.
       Services will be private.
