Big Stone Gap, Va./Eatontown, New Jersey-James R. Lavene, 56, passed away on April 7, 2024 in Big Stone Gap, Va.
It is with great sadness that the family announces the unexpected passing of Jimmy. Like his siblings Charlie, Kathy Lavene-Neidigh and Ruthie Lavene Paulus, they were all born and raised in Eatontown, NJ. Jimmy was a long time employee of Eatontown Department of Public Works and also a member of the Eatontown Fire Department. Jimmy graduated MRHS class of ’85.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Paula (Pennucci) Lavene.
In addition to his siblings, he leaves behind his wife, Sherry; and two sons, Justin and Kyle.
There are no funeral arrangements at this time. A graveside service will be held at a future date.
