Duffield, Va.-Janice Ray Qualls, 69, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
She lived most of her life in Scott County, Va. She was a former cook at the Duffield Elementary School. Janice attended Red Hill Memorial Church for years, until her health kept her from being able to attend. She was devoted to loving and caring for her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Paul Qualls; her parents, Stuart and Edith (Clifton) Griffin; and siblings, Billy Joe Griffin, Johnny Griffin and Wilma Jones.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Silas Qualls; daughter, Pamela Maness, Kingsport, Tn.; three grandchildren, Jasmine Maness, Payton Qualls and Corey Maness; one great granddaughter, Harlan Maness; siblings, Herman Griffin (Mary), Church Hill, Tn., Jerry Griffin (Myrtle) and Kathy Gibson, both of Kingsport, Tn., Brenda Berry (Gale), Weber City, Va. and Shirley McDavid, Gate City, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
