Pennington Gap, Va.-Jerry Richard Parsons, 70, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at his home.
He was born in Cincinnati, OH and lived most of his life in Pennington Gap. He was a store manager at the former Payless Supermarket in Pennington Gap. Jerry loved cars, motorcycles and Civil War reenactments. He attended the Greater Outreach Church of God in Pennington Gap.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Ruth (Carter) Parsons; and a brother, Gary Parsons.
Surviving are his son, Jesse Parsons (Sakorra), Pennington Gap; grandson, Bennett Parsons; nephew, Richard Parsons, Pennington Gap; and his companion, Linda Hurd, Pennington Gap.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00pm – 2:00pm Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Greater Outreach Church of God, 39496 Veterans Memorial Hwy., Pennington Gap, Va.
