Appalachia, VA-Jessica Rena (Carroll) Brummitt, 39, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025 in Big Stone Gap, VA.
She was a lifelong resident of Appalachia, VA and Big Stone Gap, VA. She loved painting, riding her bike and listening to Elvis Presley’s music. She attended Thee Church in Appalachia, VA.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joshua Dwight Carroll.
Surviving are her husband, Shane Brummitt; three sons, Matthew Burns, Nicholas Burns and Landon Brummitt, all of Appalachia, VA; mother, Jennifer (Phillips) Carroll, Appalachia, VA; brother, Joshua Shane Carroll, Appalachia, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
