Appalachia VA / Chattanooga, TN-Jimmy Dwayne Collins, 47, passed away on October 8, 2020 at the home of his father in McCalla, AL.
Dwayne was a commercial electrician and had worked in the coal mines for 24 years.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jackie Collins.
Surviving are his son, Brett Collins; daughter, Makayla Collins; grandchildren, Paxton Collins, Amara Cameron and Kian Collins; his father, Jimmy Collins; brothers, Shawn Collins, Tony Gollaway and Justin Nickles; sister, Teresa Gollaway; and niece, Karah Dingus.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Avenue, W., Big Stone Gap, Va. The funeral service will follow at 4:00pm with the Rev. Roger Barker officiating.
The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00am on Monday at the American Legion Cemetery. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:30am to go in procession to the cemetery.
