Joy Margaret Mullins
Pennington Gap, Va.-Joy Margaret Mullins, 77, passed away early on Wednesday morning, April 30, 2025, at home with her family by her side.
She was born in the Bonnie Blue community of Lee County, Va., and lived most of her life in Pennington Gap. She was an LPN for the former Pennington Hospital and the Lee County Community Hospital. She loved crafting, especially painting ceramics. She loved and was devoted to her family. She was a member of Norton Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas and Frances (Cowan) Burgan; and siblings, Patricia “Cricket” Owens and Freddie David Burgan.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Jack Mullins; her daughter, Frances Neeley (Darrell), Big Stone Gap, Va.; granddaughter, Lora Mays (Anthony), Norton, Va.; great granddaughter, Jayden Mays; siblings, Charles “Otis” Burgan (Betty), Noblesville, Ind., Reba Owens, Duffield, Va. and Penny McDannell (Chad) of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are private.
