Appalachia, VA – Leslie Wells, 58, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020, at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, VA.
He was formerly employed in the logging industry. He was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Appalachia and loved all types of racing and mud bogging.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lemuel “Bud” Wells Sr. and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Mary Franklin Wells
Surviving are his wife, Billie Wells of Appalachia, VA; his children, Miranda Wells Isbell of Big Stone Gap, VA and Tiffani Wells of Abingdon, VA; his mother, Beulah Wells of Appalachia, VA; his siblings, Lemuel Wells Jr and wife Kim of Big Stone Gap and Joseph “Jody” Wells and wife Terri of Maples, FL; his grandchildren, Tyler Isbell, Camara Isbell, Kendra Dotson and Atlas Wells Dotson and his nephews, Travis Wells of Lexington, KY and Brandon Wells of Jonesborough, TN.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 6, 2020, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave. W., Big Stone Gap, VA. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Johnny Flanary and Pastor Emil Schenck officiating.
Graveside services will follow at American Legion Cemetery. Tyler Isbell, Lem Wells, Blake Skeen, Pat Kilgore and Donald Hennesey will serve as pallbearers.
