Keokee, Va.-Marie Clark, 75, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Norton Community Hospital.
She was a lifelong resident of Wise and Lee County, Virginia. She loved to flower garden, especially red roses and sunflowers. She attended Keokee Free Pentecostal Church and also attended The Upper Room Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Geneva (Gibson) Russell; two brothers, Gary Russell and Thomas Russell.
Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Jimmy Clark; two daughters, Amy Aistrop (Barry) of Keokee, and Jackie Scardo (Jimmy, Jr.) of Barnesville, Ga.; one son, Chris Clark (Carmella) of Keokee; three grandchildren, Mekenzie Herring (Aiden), Jacob Scardo and Logan Clark; one great grandson, Oliver Herring; two sisters, Patsy Harris of Big Stone Gap, Va., and Lois Richardson (Gary) of Keokee; one brother, Clayton Russell (Kim) of Kingsport, Tn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 12:00pm – 2:00pm Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave., W., Big Stone Gap, Va. The service will follow at 2:00pm with the Rev. Leonard Lane officiating.
Burial will follow at Powell Valley Cemetery, Dryden, Va.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
