Big Stone Gap, Va.-Michael Christopher “Chris” McConnell, 50, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at his home.
He lived most of his life in Big Stone Gap. He graduated from a Fort Lauderdale, Fla college with a degree in graphic arts. He was an artist for publications and loved drawing portraits of people.
Surviving are his wife of 20 years, Teresa McConnell; two sons, Mikie Cole (Megan), Big Stone Gap, and Jared Johnson, Knoxville, Tn.; father, Robert Michael “Mike” McConnell (Debbie), Big Stone Gap; mother, Sandy Pierce, Little Switzerland, NC; grandchildren and the love of his life, Andrew, Khloe and Layia; brother, Brian McConnell (Jane), Salt Lake City, Ut.; nephews, Brendon McConnell and Jason McConnell.
