Norton, Va.-Nelson Grover Collins, 71, passed away late Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Va.
He was a lifelong resident of Wise County and Norton, Va. He worked for the former Penn Line Tree Services. Nelson enjoyed fishing and attended Tacoma Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Collins and Martha Sexton Collins Gibson; and siblings, Buddy Boy Collins, Beulah Williams, Margie Collins and Kermit Collins.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Patricia Ann (Deel) Collins; son, James Collins (Rhonda), Haysi, Va.; sister, Sandra Rose (Jimmy, Sr.), Wise, Va.; three grandsons, Jimmy Edward Rose, Jr., Jamie Allen Rose and Brandon Scott Gilbert; one granddaughter, Keirra Brooke Gilbert; two great grandchildren, Jimmy Edward Rose, III, and Malaya “Lay-Lay” Ezebella Rose; siblings, Herman Collins (Mary), Coeburn, Va., Kay Mullins (Cleovus), St. Paul, Va., Patsy Branham (Junior), Norton, and Betty Ann Moore, Big Stone Gap, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
