Big Stone Gap, Va.-Nila Rines, 90, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was a member of the Christian Life Church in Big Stone Gap.
She was preceded in death by her husband, E. C. Rines; parents, John and Nellie Gilly; siblings, Vernon Gilly, Emory Gilly, Wade Gilly, Anna Gibson and Edna Gilly.
Surviving are her sons, Terry Rines (Jonnie) and Gary Rines, both of Big Stone Gap; grandchildren, Amber Murdock (Cody), Jill Ashby (Don), Holly Rines, Nathan Rines; great grandchildren, Tate, Maverick, Jude, Emerie, Brooks, Greyson, Kennedy, Seth, Nate, Abby and Isaac; brother, Johnny Gilly (Carmon), Big Stone Gap; sister, Audrey Meroney, Big Stone Gap; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Rita Powers, Betty Fannon and Rhonda Stidham.
Friends may call 6:00pm-7:30pm Friday, July 22, 2022 at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave., W., Big Stone Gap.
Graveside services will be held 11:00am Saturday at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens with Dr. Nick Brewer officiating. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:20am to go in procession to the cemetery.
