Big Stone Gap, VA – Pamela Louise Hearl, 64, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024
at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
Pam was a lifelong resident of East Stone Gap, VA and a 1978 graduate of Powell Valley High School. She worked as a teller for several different banks, was a substitute teacher and worked at the East Stone Gap Post Office. Her last position was as a clerk with the Big Stone Gap Water Department. Pam was a member of East Stone Gap Baptist Church.
Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Kirby Hearl; her father, Charles Walter Cole and her brothers, Charles Anthony Cole and Timothy Walter Cole.
Pam is survived by her son, Seth Hearl (Kelsey Kiser) of Big Stone Gap, VA; her mother, Mary Cole of Big Stone Gap, VA; her brother, Junior Cole (Connie) of Big Stone Gap, VA; her step-son, Christopher Hearl of Hawaii; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, George and Doris Hearl of Abingdon, VA; her nephews, Christopher Cole, Tyler Cole and Jessee Cole; her step-nephew, Mark Wagner and her step-grandchildren, Piper, Harrison & Amelia Spears and Emma Hearl.
The family will receive friends from 12:00noon – 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave., E., Big Stone Gap, VA. The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm with Dr. Lonnie Brooks officiating.
Graveside service will follow the funeral service at Riverview Cemetery in East Stone Gap, VA. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
