Big Stone Gap VA – Patrick H. Kelly passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at his residence.
As a teenager, he worked for his father in the family-owned Kelly's General Store in the Cadet section and his uncle at Kelly Motor Company.
After graduation, he was employed with Hecht/Purity Baking Company as a route salesman from 1962 until his employment in 1971 as a Trainmaster for Southern Railway in Andover, VA. After 20+ years of service, he retired and became a cattle farmer. He was a very caring and generous man to many people.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John B. & Leona M. Kelly.
He married the love of his life, Margaret Ann Yeary Kelly, on September 28, 1960, and together they shared 61 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter Lisa Kelly-Rose (Mark); son, Jonathan W. Kelly (Mother of his children Lisa); grandchildren Joshua Kelly (Brittany), Patrick Kelly (Amber), Tori Grubb (Tristan) and Zachary Rose; great-grandchildren, Aiden Kelly and Ava Kelly; great-granddaughter Averi due in February and great-grandson Oliver due in April.
