He was born in Clintwood, Va. He attended the Church of Christ. Paul loved old cars, fishing and camping and especially had a big heart for animals.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Alpha May (Mullins) Brooks; paternal grandparents, Vaughn and Effie Crum; and maternal grandparents, Hershel and Grace Steele.
Surviving are his daughter, Chandra Crum (Glenn Woods), Coeburn; father, Paul Crum, Sr. and step mother, Sue Crum, Clintwood, Va.; and his lifelong friend and mother of his child, Brenda Knowles (Sam Smith), Norton, Va.
Services will be private.
