Keokee, Va.-Raymond Sherrill Hall, 85, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Heritage Hall Healthcare in Big Stone Gap, Va.
Born and raised in the Jaybird Community of Appalachia, Va., he lived and worked in Ohio as a carpenter for over 30 years. He had resided in Keokee for the past 20 years. He loved playing the guitar and was a member of a band. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Keokee, Va. He was the youngest and last of nine children.
He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Kevin Hall; his parents, Culton and Connie (Trent) Hall; brothers, Doug Hall, Jim Hall, Bud Hall, Ted Hall, Tom Hall and Rob Hall; and sisters, Lynn Ruth Williams and Mary Farrell.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Judith Hall; two granddaughters, Ariel (Justin) Doty and Ashton Hall; four great grandchildren, Makenna Doty, Kennedy Doty, Aaron Doty and Stella Hall; numerous nieces and nephews; and daughter-in-law, Christina Hall.
A graveside service will be conducted 2:00pm on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Beverly Family Cemetery, located on Strawberry Circle in Wise, Va., with Pastor Bill Hughes officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery by 1:50pm.
