Appalachia, VA - Regina Faye Taylor Gardner, 64, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020, at Lonesome Pine Hospital in Big Stone Gap, Va.

      Born in Florida, Faye lived most of her life in Wise County and Lee County, Va.  She loved music and sang in a band during her younger years.  She was an animal lover and enjoyed raising her flower garden.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie H. and Estella Penley; and three sisters, Pearlie Goldie Green, Letha Stacy and Barbara Lee White.

      Faye is survived by her longtime companion, Randy Taylor; her sister, Betty Barker, Big Stone Gap; many nieces and nephews, of whom she had a deep affection; and her canine love, “Tulip.”

      The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 13, 2020, at Gilliam Funeral Home in Big Stone Gap, Va.   The Celebration of Life Service will follow with Cotton Gardner officiating.

      A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday at American Legion Cemetery.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:30 am to go in procession.
