Reverend Randolph Robert Mutter

Big Stone Gap, Va.-Reverend Randolph Robert Mutter, husband of Patsy Ann Hopson Mutter (deceased), went on to be with The Lord October 29, 2022, at his home in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Ronnie was the son of Frank and Mattie Mutter of Johnson City, Tennessee and was one of seven children, with brothers, Don (Rose), Reggie (his twin deceased)(Nancy), Mitchell (Carol), Mickey (deceased) (Mary), Tim (Jane) and sister Joan (Harry). He was the father of five children, Randy Mutter, Joe Mutter, Connie Hislop, Amy Lorae Moore and Jeanna Mutter.
Reverend Ronnie R. Mutter and Patsy served in ministry for 50 years and have served the following churches: Stone Dam UMC and Afton UMC, Greeneville, TN, White Pine UMC, White Pine TN, Daisy UMC, Soddy Daisy, TN, Clapp’s Chapel UMC, Corry, TN, First UMC, Pearisburg, VA, Cawood UMC and Well Springs UMC, Lafollette, TN, Clintwood UMC, Clintwood, VA, McClure UMC, McClure, VA, Trinity UMC, Big Stone Gap, VA and Heritage Church of God, Big Stone Gap, VA.
Ronnie’s was a LIFE WELL LIVED! He was truly a friendly and warm soul lead by Christ. He knew no strangers and always had a kind word. He navigated this life walking close in The Spirit and his joy and peace were contagious. Serving Jesus was his mission and he did so by loving and serving others. His joy was most full when he experienced others connecting to our Lord.
Ronnie is survived by his son, Randy and wife Karen Mutter, grandson, Trea, and children: Mykaela Reed, Earl Reed, Marcus Reed, grandson, Brandon and his wife Madison, grandson, Trevor, and children Ella and Ollie, grandson, Trent, wife Anna, children: Ryleigh, Rowan, Sawyer and Rory, grandson, Kyle, wife Chelley, children: Kylie, Karlee, Kinley, grandson, Nathan and Haley, granddaughter, Kayleigh, grandson, Tyler and grandson, Devon and wife Kristy and daughter, DeLiah, , son, Joe Mutter and wife Kelli, daughter, Connie Hislop and grandson, Grant Hislop and granddaughter Corina, and Amy Lorae Moore (deceased), grandson Andrew Kerr and wife Kelli and great grandchildren Bella and Creed, and great granddaughter, Karma Lorae Kerr; daughter, Jeanna Ann Mutter; and many other extended family members.
We will miss his smiling face, hugs and cheerful greetings! WE LOVE YOU!
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon -1:00pm on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the Heritage Church of God, Big Stone Gap, Va. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1:00pm.
Fellowship and food to follow.
Private family interment service will be held at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, BSG.
