Keokee, Va.-Richard Del Barker, 69, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Holston Valley Medical Center, Kingsport, Tn.
Del was born on April 29, 1954 in Keokee, Va., the son of the late Carl W. and Pauline (Morris) Barker. He was a lifelong resident of Keokee and had worked as a tire recapping technician with the former Bandag Tire Recapping and Repair in Appalachia, Va. He was of Baptist faith.
He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Nell Parsons, Gwenda Karen Coomer and Julia Fain Barker.
Those left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Rex Barker, Nicky Barker (Rhonda) and Carl Barker, Jr. (Sue); sisters, Anita Rhodes (Luther), Nancy Ellis (Conley) and Elizabeth Orellana (Mario); several nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Billy Parsons.
A graveside service will be conducted 11:00am Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the Barker Family Cemetery in Keokee, Va. with Pastor Sean Bailey officiating.
