Appalachia, Va.-Rodney Evan Perry, 55, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at his residence.
He was a native of Kentucky and had lived in Big Stone Gap, Va. and Appalachia, Va. for the past several years. He worked for the McCreary County (Ky.) Maintenance Dept. He proudly served his country in Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie and Alma (Strunk) Perry; and siblings, Kenny Perry, Debbie Slaven, Tammy Slaven and Wilda Lee Perry.
Surviving are his children, Cheyenne Perry, Whitley City, Ky. and Johnathan Perry, Stearns, Ky.; several grandchildren; siblings, Donna Spears (Burley), Appalachia, Va. and Jimmie Perry (Melissa), Ridley Park, Pa.; several nieces and nephews, including five special nieces and nephews, Amanda Edens, Courtney Perry, Brandy Byrd, Crystal Hallermeier, Brandon Perry and Jimmie Perry, Jr. and special friend, Harold Hampton.
