Big Stone Gap, VA – Sharon Jane Absher Ingle, 68 passed away at home on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. Born May 5, 1956, in Norton, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Absher & Stella Inez (Fogarty) Absher.
Sharon was a loving fiancé, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a stay-at-home mom. She loved spending time with her favorite Grand-daughter Gabi (although she cherished all her grandchildren) and family friends.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her fiancé of 28 years, Daniel L. Palmer Sr., brothers, Gary Absher, Dewayne Absher & Lewis Absher; sisters, Mary Absher Lawson, Gladys Fogarty Cantrell, & Helen Dianne Absher Mays; son-in-law, Terry W. Huff.
Surviving is her sister Nancy Absher Mays of Big Stone Gap, VA; daughter, Stella Ingle of the home; son Charles Ingle, Norton,
VA., three stepdaughters, JoAnn Palmer Huff, Big Stone Gap, VA., Belinda Palmer Mitchell (Scott) Summit Point, W.VA., Valerie J. Palmer Hott (Chris), Martinsburg, W.VA., two stepsons, Ryan L. Palmer (Annette), Big Stone Gap, VA., Daniel L. Palmer Jr. (Amanda), Ranson, W.VA; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 1:00pm – 2:00pm on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave., E., Big Stone Gap, VA. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00pm with Gary Maggard officiating.
