Stanley Lee Johnson
Dryden, Va.-Stanley Lee Johnson, 77, went to his heavenly home Saturday, January 13, 2024, after a long hard battle with COPD and Black Lung.
He served in the U. S. Army as a military policeman (M.P.). He worked in the coal mines for Westmoreland Coal Co., Jerico and Pine Branch Mining. He was a member of the U.M.W.A. Stanley enjoyed watching sports, fishing, playing bingo and spending time with his family whom he loved more than anything. He was of Baptist faith.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Buster and Helen (Goode) Johnson; brothers, Randy and Wendell Johnson; and sisters, Ora Christian and Donna Johnson.
Stanley is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Johnson; son, Terry Johnson (Tammy); twin daughters, Melissa Aistrop (Tony) and Theresa Henry (Chuck); grandchildren, Trevor Johnson, Autumn and Alex Wilder, Zach (Caitlin) and Joshua Aistrop, Katie Bouton (Josh), Abbie and Bree Johnson, and Charlie and Tommy Henry; great grandchildren, Juliet, Lilianna, and Sean Bouton, and Chloe, Heidi and Sadie Stidham; sisters, Sue Campbell (Bob), Carrie Griffin, Shelia Clark (Norman), Regina Johnson, Betty Rhoten (Dave) and Patsy Stanton (Roger); brother, Jeff Johnson (Crystal); and special friends from bingo.
