Tamara Eldridge
Asheville, NC- Tamara Elisabeth Eldridge, 32, passed away on Monday September 8, 2025 at Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC. Born in Johnson City, TN, she was raised in Big Stone Gap, Va. and moved to Asheville, NC five years ago. Tamara loved movies, shopping, eating out and fishing. She loved her dad’s fried chicken and visiting the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. She loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of The Rock Church in Asheville, and The Full Gospel House of Salvation in Appalachia, VA. She loved to share her guitar talent with the congregation.
Tamara is survived by her father, Thomas Eldridge, Big Stone Gap, Va.; mother, Tammie Hunter (Ervin, Jr.), Asheville, NC; siblings, Titus Benjamin Eldridge (Hannah) of Big Stone Gap, Va., Tracey Kiser (Ray) of Dante, Va., Matthew Eldridge of Big Stone Gap, Va., Ervin Hunter III of Candler, NC, Chris Hunter (Felisha) of Horseshoe, NC, Alex Hunter of Candler, NC, Devin Hunter of Black Mountain, NC and Blake Hunter of Black Mountain, NC, and two nieces.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 15, 2025 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave. W., Big Stone Gap, VA. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm with Evangelist Jamie Earnis and Evangelists Lakie and Phillip Earnis ministering.
Graveside service will follow at Robbins Cemetery, Dorchester Road, Norton, VA. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
