Tommy D Fleenor
Big Stone Gap, VA – Tommy D. Fleenor, 80, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024 at his home.
Tommy lived most of his life in Big Stone Gap, but also lived in Richmond, VA and Gastonia, NC for several years. He proudly served his country in the US Army, having served in Germany. He was a mechanic for the Lear Corporation in Lebanon, VA. He was a Christian.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Alice Mullins Fleenor and his brothers, Albert Fleenor, Michael Fleenor and Jimmy Fleenor.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sheila Fleenor; his son, Charles Fleenor of the home; his brother, Charles Robert Fleenor (Robin) of Big Stone Gap, VA; his granddaughter, Charlotte Fleenor and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 1:00-2:00pm at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave. W., Big Stone Gap, VA. The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm with Pastor Sean Bailey ministering.
Flag presentation and taps, by the Virginia Army National Guard Honors Team, will follow at Glencoe Cemetery, Big Stone Gap, VA. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
