Wise, Va.-Truda Lou Dorton, 70, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at her home in Wise.

     She was born in Hylton, KY, lived most of her life in Pike County, KY, resided for several years in Cynthiana, KY and had lived in Wise since 2018. Truda proudly served as an RN with Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, among others.  Truda loved to read, calligraphy and drawing.  She was a Christian.

      She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Anderson; and her second husband, Tom Dorton; and her parents, Clair Otis Parsons and Joyce (Kidd) Marshall.

      Surviving are five children, Gena Anderson, Louisville, KY, Richard Anderson (Paula), Cynthiana, KY, Michelle Workman (Brian), Georgetown, KY, Thomas Dorton and Jon Dorton, both of Wise, Va.; grandchildren, Josiah, Savannah, Charli, Cacee, Cody, Aaron, Josh, Bella and Noa; great grandchildren, Karris, Lance and Soren; siblings, Brenda Nichols, Jackson, AL, Dwight Marshall, Miramar, FL, Timothy Marshall, Corinth, KY, Donna Grimes, Monroeville, AL; and Thomas Marshall, Corinth, KY; and several nieces and nephews.

       The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2020 at the Pilgrims Prayer Church, 121 Steve Wright Road, Jenkins, Ky  41537, and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 pm. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the Lexington United Baptist Church, 9477 Rockwell Road, Lexington, KY  40505.
