Big Stone Gap, Va.-Veronica “Roni” Jean Garrett passed away February 17th, 2022 at her mother’s home after an extended illness.
Veronica was born June 13th, 1967 in Alexandria, VA to her parents, Lonnie “Rainbo” and Nellie Fields Garrett.
Veronica was proceeded in death by her father, Lonnie Garrett; her grandparents, Hoyt and Sylvania Fields and Nona Garrett of Big Stone Gap, Va.; her daughter, Nikki Leanne Lipps; and nephew, Michael Swiney.
She is survived by her sons, Beckett Osborne of Big Stone Gap, VA, and Brian Trent of Beckley, WV; her daughter, Kirsten Dixon of Big Stone Gap VA; her mother, Nellie Garrett (Sonny); sisters, Rhonda (James)Lovell, Elizabeth (Greg) Boggs, Saundra (Charlie) Johnson; and her brother, James (Angie) Garrett all of Big Stone Gap, VA. Special forever friend, Kenneth Osborne; nieces and nephews Josh (Maisie) , Jessica (Micah), Jennifer, Justin, Amy, Hunter (Stephanie), Kayley, Hannah, Brayden, Gracie, Avia, Catlin Johnson (John), and Cayden. Special family friends, Hayden Avery and Jada Mullins, and her fur babies.
Service will be Sunday February 20, 2022 at 4 p.m. at Bethesda Church of God at 424 East 6th Street N, Big Stone Gap VA. Pastor Donnie Pickett officiating. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
