Big Stone Gap, Va.-Vickie Susan “Susie” Carroll, 65, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at her home.
She was born in Norton, Va., and lived in Wise and Lee counties all her life. She worked early on with Dollar General, and then became a fulltime mother. She loved music, dancing and movies. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was of Holiness faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Thacker and Alice Legg Diets; five sisters and five brothers.
Susie is survived by her son, Kenneth Russell Carroll, Arvada, CO; daughter, Tiffany Suzanne Carroll, Dryden, Va.; two grandsons, Gavin and Garrett Boatright; one sister, Linda Ball “Breezy” Mallé; and numerous nieces and nephews.
