Big Stone Gap, Va.-Victor Rabon Collier, 77, passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at his home.
He was a coal miner with Westmoreland Coal Co., and then later with Cumberland Resources. He was a member of the U.M.W.A. District 17, Local 1607. He was of Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Angela Dennison Doe and Francesca Bloomer; and his parents, Hubert and Callie Collier.
Surviving are his wife, Delphia Annette Collier; children, Tina Dennison and Raymond Collier, both of Big Stone Gap, and Sharon Collier and Victor Collier, Jr., both of Baltimore, Md.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 5:00pm – 7:00pm Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave., W., Big Stone Gap. The service will follow at 7:00pm with Evangelist Buddy Wilson officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00am Wednesday at Riverview Cemetery in East Stone Gap, Va. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 10:30am to go in procession.
Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
