William "Butch" Rogers

William H. “Butch” Rogers Jr., 73, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
Born May 6, 1953, he was a lifelong resident of Big Stone Gap and graduated from Powell Valley High School in 1971.
He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Rogers Sr. (Bill), his sister, Christina Rogers Roop, and Regina Christian, the mother of his son.
He is survived by his mother, Mary Rogers, his son, Micah Rogers, his sister, Sherry Rogers Lemberg, his two grandsons, Taylor Rogers and Ashton Rogers, three girls, Monica (Kevin) Brooks, Melissa (Rusty) Sampson, Cassie (Greg) Stidham.
Over the years he had worked at Miss Virginia Garment Factory, Imperial Gas Station, Pet Dairy, Wholesale Supply, Fraley’s, Kingston Warren (Churchill, TN), Discount Grocery (Sevierville, TN), and Food City Gas-N-Go (Big Stone Gap).
He was an avid gun collector, a jokester, and a card player. He was proud of his children and grandchildren.
He is truly loved and missed by his family and friends.
Arrangements are private.
