William Foster Hall

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1

North Augusta, SC/Big Stone Gap, VA - William Foster Hall passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on October 20, 2020 in Holt, Michigan. He was born on December 11, 1944 to Walter and Bertha Hall in Osaka, Virginia. Bill (or Bob as he was also known) graduated from Appalachia High School. In 1965, he married his high school sweetheart, Carolyn.
After moving to North Augusta, South Carolina, Bill worked for the Kimberly-Clark Corporation for 33 years as a crew leader. Bill was a hard worker who sacrificed to provide for his family. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life: watching wildlife, seeing a beautiful sunset, hearing the flow of the river and relaxing at home. He will be greatly missed.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Bertha Hall; and three sisters, Ruth Hall, Pebble Clark, and Joan Comprosky.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Williams Hall; daughter, Yevette (John) Dysart; grandsons, Harrison, Jonathan, Landon, and Colton Dysart; a sister, Lois Austin and a brother, Walter (Bea) Hall, Jr.
The family would like to thank McLaren Hospice as well as the Breslin Cancer Center in Lansing, Michigan for their compassion and kindness during Bill’s illness.
The visitation and viewing will be Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, from 11:00am to noon at Gilliam Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 12:30pm Sunday, October 25, 2020, in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens, 5650 Powell Valley Road, Big Stone Gap, Virginia.
